Woman accidentally sent vibrator to Ebay buyer after forgetting she left it in a shoe
If you’re selling your old tat on eBay it’s always good to do a final check before posting it just to be sure it’s in good nick and so the buyer doesn’t get any weird surprises. One woman who failed to do a final check is Kelly Young from Berkshire, who decided to sell a pair of green Timberland boots she no longer wanted. She then wrapped up the boots in a shoe box to send to a man who wanted to give them to his wife as an anniversary present.
It wasn't until she received a message from the customer's wife asking 'have you lost something?' that she realised she has accidentally left her 6 inch vibrator in one of the shoes. Oops.
Kelly said she was “mortified” when she read the message and has only just plucked up the courage to reply. She says:
I was mortified. His wife messaged me directly - it wasn't the customer himself. I don't know if he even knew about it. I actually only got back to her yesterday because I was so embarrassed. I'm waiting for her to get back to me now. I'm a bit nervous to open my inbox and check.
I won't be asking her to send it back in the post, that's for sure. I don't know if they thought I'd done it as a little joke. I was worried she thought I'd sent them to her husband on purpose, because he had told me it was their anniversary.
At least the guy’s wife seemed to take it pretty well. Although I reckon Kelly needs to use the money from the shoes to get herself a bedside table from eBay so she has somewhere more appropriate to keep her vibrator from now on.
