A Resident Evil TV series is in the works!
As if you needed anymore proof that Netflix is the most amazing thing ever invented, news has just surfaced the streaming giant is now is in the process of developing a Resident Evil television series. Hellz yeah!
The show will be a new original program and would follow in the path of the Resident Evil film series created by German production studio Constantin Films, which is said to be working with Netflix on the project. While we know bugger-all about the plot or cast, sources say that the show will more than likely involve zombies and the Umbrella Corporation, which is at the centre of the RE universe’s undead outbreak.
Unlike the games, which are a bit more horror-based, the series will involve more sci-fi action and will delve deeper into the world that we find Alice in. Like who is the Umbrella Corporation? Why did they manufacture the zombie virus? What was life like before the outbreak? Y’know, your standard questions you need to ask in the event of an apocalypse.
It sounds like it could have a touch of the ‘walking Dead’ about it, which was great from season 1-4, and fucking ludicrous from 5 onwards. Anyway, I’m veering off topic. Let’s just say this is going to be epic!
